Maria Menounos on the wrestling rivalry - NWO Mention
Access Hollywood correspondent Maria Menounos, who hosted an episode of Monday Night RAW this past October, has been talking about professional wrestling quite a bit on her Twitter account as of late. She talked about watching Raw this past Monday night, but missed TNA because her TiVo was broken. She noted her excitement for Kurt Angle, the return of the New World Order and WWE not being the only game in town anymore. She also said watching Bret Hart's return to Raw made her cry. Here are some things she wrote:
* "Was great to see Bret hart on raw...knew vince was gonna kick him in the gut-they'll face off at wrestlemania.did anyone watch tna?"
* "I cried when bret started spoke during the open..very emotional..you could tell throughout the show he was holding so much inside.lotta pain."
* "But I did flip to watch kurt angle who I love...and the return of nwo was huge!love that there's a wrestling rivalry again!"
Multiple sources in TNA report that the word backstage on Monday was that Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, Orlando Jordan and Sean Morley are all working without contracts
Scott Hall and Sean Waltman were shown trying to get into the arena. When they were stopped by security, Hall and Waltman and security had to be separated
- After a commercial break, Hogan's limo was shown, when a second limo pulled up and a mysterious figure got out and entered Hulk's limo! Back inside the arena, Hall and Waltman made their way inside the Impact Zone!
- The legendary Hulk Hogan made his long-awaited TNA Wrestling debut, hitting the ring as the crowd went crazy! Hulk talked about coming to TNA and getting ready to make history. However, as Hulk was talking, Hall and Waltman climbed over the rail and caused a distraction. Hulk invited them in the ring if they wanted to talk, and Hall and Waltman told him they were here to party. But, Hogan told them it's a new day in TNA Wrestling, and that means change! Hall and Waltman argued with Hulk, bringing out Kevin Nash! Nash joined Hall and Waltman in questioning Hulk - leading to the TNA debut of Eric Bischoff! Bischoff hit the ring and told Hall and Waltman that everyone had to earn their spot in TNA Wrestling, and that it was time to change TNA. Hall, Nash and Waltman backed down and left the ring, leaving Bischoff and Hogan in the ring. They tore up the format for the night, the first of many changes coming to TNA!
After the main event, Hulk Hogan came out and said AJ Styles and Kurt Angle were the two greatest wrestlers in the world! Hulk said that history had been made and it was only the beginning! However, Hulk was interrupted and told that Mick Foley had arrived! Foley demanded to know where Hogan was backstage! Foley eventually found Hogan's office, but Bischoff was there. Bischoff told Foley that he no longer had any power in TNA Wrestling. Foley went to knock out Bischoff, but Nash, Hall and Waltman attacked Foley as Hogan watched on and the broadcast came to an end!
Several former stars backstage already for TNA tonight
The list of names in attendance for tonight's live three-hour TNA Impact is growing by the minute.
Among the names spotted already are Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, Val Venis, and The Nasty Boys. Hall and Waltman are the only two on that list scheduled to appear tonight
Scott Hall's name continues to come up due to past association with Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash. Hall, who is now fifty-one years old, has been working more frequently on the independent circuit on shows with Sid Vicious. Although recent reports regarding his condition at the indy shows have been positive, there are still some bad feelings over a pay-per-view no-show two years ago. It's no secret that Nash has Dixie Carter's ear. We'll see shortly but I'd expect him to return in the very near future.
As you can see, we have just opened. So there isn't THAT much here at the moment. We have got over 100 photos added so far to the gallery, hopefully this weekend that will change :)
